Situated just outside Badgers Mount in Halstead on Old London Road. Just along from Badgers Rise going towards Knockholt Station.
After Network Rail replaced the fencing (2021/22) along Old London Road, the old milestone was no longer upright - see photo below.
After contacting Kent County Council Heritage team and Halstead and Badgers Mount Parish Councils in January 2022 the milestone has now been put in place again.
Originally this milestone had a plaque stating: London 18 ~ Sevenoaks 6.
Via Halstead PC and the KCC Heritage team I've asked if a replacement plaque can be installed. Either a modern
replacement stating the original text/mileages or a reproduction plaque.
This milestone also has a cut bench mark - details below.
