Externally we have progressed well and
all scaffold will be removed very shortly. Our ground workers and fencers
will continue to progress the hard landscape features over the next period
and the Client will be opening their Show Suite in January.
Internally trades continue to progress well. Plastering works will be
completed shortly whilst tiling, vinyl flooring, carpentry etc. continue
throughout.
We understand how difficult it has been having us as
neighbours over the past year and thank you for your general patience and
resilience during this time. Rest assured we are on the home straight now
and will continue to push hard to get out of your hair as quickly as we can
in the New Year.
Our office is generally open to visitors – so if you
have any questions or just want to pop in for a quick chat and an update
please feel free to do so. Unless we are extremely tied up a tea or coffee
should be available. You can also start to get a feel for the “finished
product”.
Please remember - children are often very interested by
building sites without realising the dangers that they pose. Holiday periods
are particularly difficult times, as the children have more time on their
hands. Please help us to keep them safe by telling them about the dangers.
As always, we would very much appreciate your assistance in
reporting any unwanted visitors to the site during out-of-hours. If you
should notice anything suspicious we would be grateful if you would report
this to the Police.
Finally, as a Team we would like to wish you all
a Happy Christmas and a safe and prosperous New Year!!!!
Yours Sincerely,
Steve Wheeler

Within the period the roofing works have
been substantially completed and we are predominantly water tight with the
majority of windows having also been installed.
Internally trades
continue to progress well and plastering works, tiling and vinyl flooring
are well underway.
Externally we have progressed with hard standings.
New brick walls and will shortly be looking to install fencing etc.
Our office is generally open to visitors – so if you have any questions or

October 2018
Over the period roofing works have
progressed well and and we are now starting to get fully covered and water
tight. Internally trades continue to progress well and we have started
plastering works.
Externally we continue to build the garden
retaining walls and have started shaping the ground to its final levels and
installing slabs etc. Fencing is due to start shortly.
We have
been made aware of a couple of vehicles parking in the wrong places and
apologise for this. The operatives concerned were new starters and
unfortunately I was away from site for personal reasons on the day. My
assistant was also absent and we had a covering manager – so it was a very
unusual “perfect storm” on the day. Hopefully all is now resolved and we
continue to martial and control the troops!!
Our office is generally
open to visitors – so if you have any questions or just want to pop in for a

anything suspicious we would be grateful if you would report this to the
Police.

Over the past few months the scheme has
really progressed and we are now starting to get fully covered and water
tight. Internally trades are progressing well and we can soon start
plastering works which is when the building really starts to take it’s
shape.
Externally we continue to build the garden retaining walls and
to start shaping the ground to its final levels.
Fencing and hard
standings will soon follow on.
We have been made aware that the
roofing contractor’s radio was a bit too loud and hopefully this has been
addressed. However, we would note that on a few occasions we have been
accused of out of hours/ generally loud working when we believe that, in
actual fact, the large crematorium site across the road may have been to
blame.
As always, all appointed subcontractors are told before they
start work and all operatives that arrive are told where they cannot park –
and we will do our utmost to continue to monitor this.
Our office is
generally open to visitors – so if you have any questions or just want to

9th July 2018 - Theft
Over the course of this weekend we have
had a large piece of equipment stolen from the site.
We believe this
happened during the course of Sunday (8th July) morning (can’t be 100% sure)
– and would ask whether anybody may have seen anything?
The equipment
is a screed pump and will have needed a large van/truck or lorry to tow it
from the site.
Thank you

Dear Resident,
Works within the period have been affected by design related issues.
However, we have progressed brick and block work to upper ground floor level
and the pre-cast concrete slabs to this area are being placed.
If we are
to recover the time lost we really need the weather to hold and our brick
laying subcontractor to really push his works along!
Externally we have
started to shape the ground to the new levels required and have completed
foundations for the new walls & pergola area.
Once walls are progressed
to this area we will start hard surfacing.
As always, all appointed
subcontractors are told before they start work and all operatives that
arrive are told where they cannot park – and we will do our utmost to
continue to monitor this. We apologise for a slight lapse in this recently –
when a couple of unexpected deliveries arrived and contractor’s ignored our
signage too. This will not happen again!!
Our office is generally open to
visitors – so if you have any questions or just want to pop in for a quick
chat and an update please feel free to do so. Unless we are extremely tied
up a tea or coffee should be available!!
Please remember - children are
often very interested by building sites without realising the dangers that
they pose. Help us to keep them safe by telling them about the dangers.
Holiday periods are particularly likely to see children take an interest in
the un-manned site – so please help us by being vigilant.
Also, we would
very much appreciate your assistance in reporting any unwanted visitors to
the site during out-of-hours. If you should notice anything suspicious we
would be grateful if you would report this to the Police.
Yours
Sincerely,

June 29th 2018
Over the past few weeks we have suffered a few
delays – mainly as a result of design related issues.
We have been
discussing possible ways of recovering the time and have today been asked
two questions by subcontractor working on our behalf:
1.
Would the neighbours mind if the brick layers and floor screeders wanted to
work a bit later on Saturday?
2. Would the
neighbours mind if the bricklayers wanted to work for a while on Sunday?
I will also note that should any one single neighbour not agree to the
request OR finds that the work (which isn’t noisy as such) causes too much
disturbance over the weekend then works will not be allowed OR will be
stopped immediately.
February 2018
Works to the main building retaining
structure have continued to progress and are nearing completion. Once this
is sufficiently well progressed we will be able to start work on the
drainage and car park area to the site frontage and also progress the
foundation and ground slab at the lower end of the site.
Brickwork
will then start and you should soon be able to see the building itself
taking shape.
As we will have more operatives on site we are also looking to
employ an operative to control the gate, keep the footpath and signage
clean, look after the site welfare facilities etc. If you know of anybody
that might be suitable please pass on our details.
Please remember -
children are often very interested by building sites without realising the
dangers that they pose. Help us to keep them safe by telling them about the
dangers. Holiday periods are particularly likely to see children take an
interest in the un-manned site – so please help us by being vigilant.

unwanted visitors to the site during out-of-hours. If you should notice
anything suspicious we would be grateful if you would report this to the
Police.
January 2018
We are
progressing with the main retaining wall to the front of the site. We are
hoping to have this complete within the next 2/3 weeks.
We have started the
waterproofing of the 1st section of retaining wall and are looking to start
back filling early part of next week, this will then allow us to start
shaping the car park area to the front of the site and we will be looking to
lay the base course of tarmac to this area in roughly 4/6 weeks weather
permitted.
We are still on programme to be completed by March 2019.
November 2017
Dear Resident,
Over
the last couple of weeks I am sure you will have seen the large number of
lorries taking excavated material away from the site – a necessary headache
I’m afraid. Suitably dry days were selected for this task with road sweeper
visits scheduled to try to keep the road as clean as possible. Hopefully the
team on site have managed this well enough to have kept any disruption to a
minimum? The vast majority of material has now been removed from the site,
although one or two more days will be needed during the coming period too.
As progress has been good, the site team have also managed to start concrete
works to foundations and substructure blockwork has also commenced.
Over
the coming weeks the team will continue with foundations, blockwork and
substructure drainage and will also be progressing the main retaining wall
structure. Deliveries will increase over this period.
Obviously the
construction will require a full complement of trades and wherever possible
we like to employ local companies. In this way we can at least try to give
something back to the community. If you know of any companies that would be
interested in quoting for works on the project please pass on our details.
Please remember - children are often very interested by building sites
without realising the dangers that they pose. Help us to keep them safe by
telling them about the dangers.
Also, we would very much appreciate your
assistance in reporting any unwanted visitors to the site during
out-of-hours. If you should notice anything suspicious we would be grateful
if you would report this to the Police.
23rd October 2017
Dear Resident,
No doubt you will be
aware of the new Care Home being built at the above address.
We have
been appointed as the Main Contractor for the works and will be responsible
for the site until completion of the project, which will be around March
2019.
We
appreciate that at times our presence and works may cause a nuisance to the
area, but we aim to keep any such disturbance to a minimum and to make sure
you are aware of what we are planning in the weeks ahead. Our intention will
be to provide a brief letter each month updating on progress and confirming
what works will be coming up. Hopefully, this will avoid any nasty
surprises.
From the outset we will be starting the mass excavation &
removal of spoil from the site. This should commence during this week and
take about 3 weeks.
We have a full time Site Manager on site (Steve
Wheeler 07500 803 095) and he will do his best to field any general
questions or concerns you may have. Once this work is sufficiently far
enough progressed concrete foundation works will begin.
Obviously the
construction will require a full complement of trades and wherever possible
we like to employ local companies. In this way we can at least try to give
something back to the community. If you know of any companies that would be
interested in quoting for works on the project please pass on our details.
We would like to take this initial opportunity to remind you that
construction sites are by their very nature dangerous places. We would ask
that you talk to any children that you have access to and help to keep them
safe - children are often very interested by building sites without
realising the dangers that they pose.
Also, we would very much
appreciate your assistance in reporting any unwanted visitors to the site
during out-of-hours. If you should notice anything suspicious we would be
grateful if you would report this to the Police.
Yours Sincerely,
Patrick
