Knockholt Station is about two-thirds of a mile towards Orpington along the Old London Road from Badgers Rise (about a 15 minute walk) and has services to London and Sevenoaks.

The above link enables you to view the live status of the train arrivals/departures for Knockholt station using the SE Railway website.

Knockholt railway station is actually in Halstead. When it was opened in the 1860s it was called Halstead but people confused it with Halstead in Essex so they renamed the station Knockholt, which is a few miles away.

The Railway Children
Also some say the tunnel and steep sidings at Knockholt station were the inspiration for Edith Nesbit’s The Railway Children. Edith Nesbit lived at Halstead Hall for three years during the 1870s.
